Director of Behavioral Health Services

MIPH is seeking a skilled, licensed social worker for a new programmatic initiative.  This is a full-time, senior staff position.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:  The Director of Behavioral Health  will develop, implement, and oversee in-house behavioral health services to homeless adults and children in transitional and permanent supportive housing programs in Middlesex County.  Services include conducting and/or assigning mental health, substance abuse, and crisis evaluations; therapeutic, didactic, and creative therapy and support groups; individual and family therapy; referral, consultation, advocacy and collaboration with community-based behavioral health providers.  This position will supervise per-diem mental health consultants and social work student interns; participate in collaborative team meetings at program sites; assist in developing and conducting staff development trainings.

REQUIREMENTS:  This position requires a master's degree in Social Work; LCSW; at least 5 years clinical experience, and some supervisory experience; LCADC is a plus.  Experience with and/or knowledge of issues for marginalized populations is preferred.
