ABOUT US MISSION STATEMENT The mission of Making It Possible to end Homelessness (MIPH) is "to seek and develop appropriate avenues to resolve the homeless crisis by fostering independence and empowerment." BACKGROUND MIPH was founded in 1987 in New Brunswick, initially as a way to increase local services and resources for homeless people. In the beginning, MIPH consisted solely of volunteers who were represented by local advocates and clergy from the Middlesex County area. We brought together mainstream public and private agencies through our efforts to advocate for the homeless. Since its inception, MIPH has operated a variety of programs. In 1988, MIPH introduced the concept of transitional housing for families in central New Jersey. |
